Paddleboats-but wait! Their illuminated? Yes please!

I have a hot spot in Providence, RI. Paddleboat swans that are illuminated.

If you’re looking for an activity to do with younger kids this spooky season, and you don’t want them to be scared but still have fun. I have a hot spot for you.

This is open the whole month of October. Unless it’s raining. I take the kids here just about every year. They both really enjoy it. Now, I know it’s still the start of the school year. After working all day, coming home and making dinner. Making sure the kids homework is done. It can be very exhausting.

I’m sure you want the kids to experience new and different things. I do to. You are also very tired from the long day you’re trying to put behind you. Roger Williams Park has a lot of activities to do year round. You will see me in future posts, writing about this hot spot. I will give you a warning now though…It can get really congested when it comes to parking.

Although you can consider this as a con, it’s never stopped me from going and having fun. I would take my chances on heading over as the sun is setting. That way you have a better chance of getting a good parking spot. Watch out for no parking signs, and you should be okay.

Now, this activity will end up with a line at some point. But, it moves fairly quickly. As you get closer to the dock, at least when we went, you can buy a cup of hot chocolate and hot apple cider! It’s perfect for warming you up on an Autumn night.

They do provide lifejackets for the kids. My son daughter and I are able to fit on one swan. Once you get in, you do have to paddle. My daughter and I are able to paddle while my son sits between us without a care in the world-haha! On that note, my daughter and I both have athletic asthma. We take puffs of our inhalers before we enter the line. And we end up being fine. It is a lite exercise. If you have any physical disabilities, I do want to just give you a heads up, you’re going to use your legs.

It is really great time. I definitely recommend this hot spot! It’s also located next to the zipline, and zoo entrance. It is rather easy to find. I hope I helped give you a little insight! If you do decide to go, I hope you have a great time.
